Job Summary:

Stevens Worldwide Van Lines is seeking a business development sales person to sell Office and Industrial services. This position will be based in Waterford and cover O&I sales for Waterford and Toledo Markets. This position is responsible for prospecting business, providing proposals and generating sales in Office & Industrial services to corporate businesses, facility/property managers, furniture companies, commercial move managers, installation services, hospitals and educational institutions. This position requires an individual to be exceptionally service oriented, have effective listening and communication skills both by phone and in person, enjoy building strong relationships with customers, and demonstrate uncompromising work ethic and integrity.



  • Pursue new and reoccurring accounts and sell, Stevens moving and services, within the designated market and territory.
  • Pre-qualify and initiate visit on all prospective leads or inquiries developed from all resources
  • Research, develop, maintain prospect list. Segment prospect list into specific campaign as directed by your manager
  • Pipeline development and forecasting based on target market segmentation.
  • Data entry, load, update and maintain data base utilizing sales force CRM tool to track customer/contacts and maintain data base
  • Perform minimum 1 "In the field day" per month. This involves making face to face, cold calls in a specific market and tracking

Job Summary: Conduct market research/informational interviews over the telephone to collect information about market trends


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cold calling on owners of small companies to conduct informational/market research interviews

  • Identify prospects from a prepared listing of qualifications

  • Log information into the database as well as cleaning up existing data to create a viable database

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related objectives as needed

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Move Supervisor (driver/crew lead), the help/packer assists with moving, packing, wrapping, inventory, and transport of household goods for residential customers. The helper/packer assists with loadings and unloading vehicles, handles the customers' possessions with care to avoid dents, scratches, or other damage. Our movers represent Stevens in a professional and courteous manner, work collaboratively with any assigned team members, and deliver a positive and successful relocation for our customers. Our people strive for a positive customer experience.

Some positions may be part-time, others full-time positions. Either will have variable hours and could include long hours and/or weekend shifts. You must have the ability to lift and carry more than 50 pounds and walk or stand for extended periods of time. You need to follow directions, yet work independently, taking responsibility to get the job done. Team work is important, as is a personal desire to fulfill the needs of customers. Reliability and flexibility with work schedules contributes to a higher number of work hours or from part time to full time. The most valuable contributors, who consistently perform well, have increased opportunity to move from part-time into a full-time position.


  • Ability to follow directions as given by supervisor or advanced level HHG movers.
  • Knowledgeable about residence protection, able to use protection materials properly in order to prevent damage to the job site. This includes, but is not limited to doors, floors, steps, and walls.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use basic tools such as drills, screwdrivers, and rubber hammers.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use moving equipment such as 2-wheeled and 4 wheeled dollies, walk boards, appliance carts, etc.
  • Performs basic assembly and disassembly of furniture, include such items as beds, bookshelves, and tables.
  • Performs packing in a manner that is consistent and compliant with the Stevens Packing Guidelines and requirements.
  • This duty will also include wrapping (fine finish, upholstery, and shrink) of articles.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested, including the ability to transfer skills and work in a similar position in the role of Commercial Mover, Warehouse Services, as work dictates.
