After 11 years of delivering meals to food-insecure people across the country, Move For Hunger remains one of our favorite nonprofits. The organization helps direct nonperishables to local food pantries during moves.
Each year, Stevens Worldwide Van Lines workers donate their time and energy into collecting nonperishables for those who need it most.
Over the 11-year lifetime of Move for Hunger, agents in our network have brought in more than 3.6 million pounds of food. That’s a lot of food and a lot of meals provided. We’re humbled to think of the lives impacted by the generosity of Stevens agents across the country. Thank you to all who have helped in this mission of compassion!
This year, Move For Hunger named an agent that donates much of its time o this cause, bringing in more than 65,000 pounds of food in 2020.
Apex Moving & Storage of Puyallup, Wash. is that agent!
“Between the two food banks and Meals in Motion distribution, we store anywhere between 10 and 20 pallets of food at a time,” Said Dean Savage, President of Apex.
We want to thank Dean and Loretta Savage and their team for their impeccable work in diminishing food poverty.
